Spouse Visa (Subsequent)

Spouse Visa (Subsequent)

The Spouse Visa (Subsequent Entry) is a visa category that allows spouses or de facto partners of Australian citizens, permanent residents, or eligible New Zealand citizens to join their partner in Australia.

To be eligible for this visa, you must be married to or in a de facto relationship with an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen, and your partner must be willing to sponsor you. You must also meet the health and character requirements set by the Department of Home Affairs.

This visa is for applicants who are offshore and have not been included in their partner’s initial application for a Partner Visa. If you are already in Australia, you may be eligible for an Onshore Partner Visa (820/801).

The application process for a Spouse Visa (Subsequent Entry) can be complex and involves providing evidence of the genuineness of the relationship, meeting health and character requirements, and demonstrating that you meet the eligibility criteria for the visa. Additionally, the sponsor will need to provide evidence of their Australian citizenship or permanent residency, and their ability to support the applicant.
